Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actor, performer, and songwriter for many years. Her family was home-schooled by her mother in the USA. Raised with racial remarks and made to feel unwanted. If she attended school contests and received the highest praise for her singing, in ninth grade, the girl began to feel more confident. This not only increased her self-confidence but also changed her career ambition. In 1992, she earned her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was titled You've got Mail. The most notable achievement of her career was in the role of The Lady of The Lake as Spamalot's original Broadway production. She did not only receive the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by the critics. In 2007, she was cast in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. Apart from having a cult following as a singer, she has released two solo albums and a longer piece. She is also an activist who is active for LGBT rights.
