Zoe-perry
Perry is a Chicago native, she was born into Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first appearance was in the television screen as Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in Roseanne, an ABC sitcom Roseanne. The actress did not go on to explore acting as a profession after reaching adulthood because her parents were worried about the detrimental impact stress might have. Perry acknowledged that she was not at ease in the stage during high school. However, she began doing it to connect with new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry began her career as an actress in New York after graduation, getting small roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry come back to California and find work as an actress in the theater. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013 Perry was in the show with their father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 in The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry was featured nine times on The Family, an ABC drama The Family, in 2016. In 2017, she had a minor role on ABC's political thriller Scandal which starred her father. Also, she was cast on her role on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger than Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. Despite having a family connection to the character, she was offered the part through an audition.
